Die Räume im Obergeschoss sind noch nicht fertiggestellt, so kann der Erwerber noch selbst die Raumaufteilung bestimmen.

Beheizt wird das Haus durch einen grossen Specksteinofen finnischer Bauart. Ein Teil des grossen Gartens ist pferde- und hundesicher eingezäunt.

We have built a natural loghome (about 260m2 living space) with the intention to live there ourselves and organise a three room Bed and Breakfast. Unfortunately, we have to move to another country for our work. This is a great opportunity for us, but with pain in our heart, we have to sell our beautiful house, that we have built with lots of love. We used only the best natural materials, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

 

It is built on a land of 4735 m2, all building land! So you can easily add another house or two, horsestables, atelier,... A large part of the garden is completely fenced (horse and dog proof). The location is amazing: a stunning view over the Rhone valley, absolute tranquility, easy accessable in summer and winter, walking paths and horseride tracks in the surroundings. It is located in Loye (Grône) at about 1000 meters above sealevel, at 15 min drive from Vercorin and Nax skiresorts and 30 min drive from Crans-Montana.

 

The house is brand new, we are still working on the finishing (interior) touches. The entire building process took about three years since we used a natural drying method for the logs and there was a lot of manual craftsmanship involved. It is already possible to live in the house. We have been living there ourselves since a couple of months.

 

Unlike most ordinary loghomes, this house is build with Pinus Sylvestrus (Pine tree, Kiefern), a harder, more resistant wood. Some of the trees are older then 250 years! The trees were all hand picked by the forester a few years ago, during a full moon phase in winter. This is the most optimal time to cut trees since they contain almost no fluids then (because of the tides). The logs were then given 1 year time to dry, without putting them in an oven. This all makes these big treelogs last a very long time, they will not crack and all this without any chemical treatment. This house can easily stand a few hundred years!

Rooms division

In total, there is about 260 m2 living area (excluding the cellar and balcony).

The ground floor is made up of a huge loft living room with open kitchen (with island). It also has a hallway, a bathroom and a bedroom. Underneath the terras, there will be a basement (will be made together with the terras in spring).

The first floor consists of 3 duplex bedrooms, a bathroom, a toilet, one mezinine, a fireplace and a 24 m2 balcony with a great view. All of these rooms of the first floor are not yet finshed at this moment. This means that if you contact us soon, you can still rearange and add rooms to your liking

The price of the loghome and property is 850 000 CHF additionally our commission of 5%.

Healthy living

Since we used a natural building method, the wood is not treated with chemicals. We also used natural insulation materials,such as sheep wool and a sort of wood wool. These products insulate the house very well. Between all of the logs, there is a thick coating of sheep wool. The roof and the floor are paved with wood wool. All this makes the house breathable and gives an optimal living climate. Air humidity is around 50%, which is optimal. This house is also very suitable for people with allergies.

We have installed a 2400 kg Tulikivi massive oven. It will store the heat for 24 hours after burning and then slowely give it away to the room. We spaced out the wall on the back of the oven, so the bedroom is heated too.

Loye is situated in Wallis or Valais, a valley which is known for its microclimate and healthy air. It is incredibly quit and tranquil around the loghome, you are just outside a very large forest, which continues to the top of the Mont Noble and harbours a (future) Unesco World Heritage. There are no high voltage lines or mobile transmission posts in sight. However, there is normal electricity, phone and water supply. There are no direct neighbours, except for a few vacation chalets.

Despite of the peace and harmony you find here, you are just 15 minutes drive away from Vercorin and Nax, two skiresorts. And a mere 30 minutes away from Crans-montana. The road is accessable winter and summer.
